The END is in Sight

I've been missing from this here blog for a few days. And I'll likely be missing for another week or so, unfortunately.

BUT.

In T minus 6 days I will be done with all of my big assignments for the semester. Which means, forever. I'll still have some smallish stuff I'll have to do (like almost all of the reading questions for a whole online class that I kept missing and procrastinating), and I still will be seeing clients til the 10th, but the big stuff will be done.

And I'll have much more time for the things I enjoy, like keeping up with my blog, reading all of your blogs and such.

I'm so excited to be done I really can't handle it sometimes.

I'm going to read non-stop, finish planning my novel so I can start writing after graduation, catch up on sleep, visit bookstores.... The list goes on and on.

My question to you, dear blog friends:

What do you recommend I do to celebrate being done with Grad School?!

What books should I read? What food should I eat? What movies (on Netflix because I poor) should I watch? What tv shows do I need to get hooked on?

Basically, what are your favorite things to do when you don't HAVE to do anything?

  1. First of all, congrats on nearing the end of Grad School! That's awesome. :) I can't imagine how relieved you will feel when everything's done. As for me, I like to curl up with a good book when I have nothing else I have to do. I'm about to start reading TAKEN by Erin Bowman, and SPOKEN by Sarah Rees Brennan showed up in the mail today. I've heard great things about both of them.

    1. Thanks! Curling up and reading is my favorite as well. I'm almost drooling just thinking about it. :) I also can't wait to read Taken.

  2. Netflix feeds my Grey's Anatomy addiction. I watched like 6 seasons in a week, and if that's not your style, or you're already wonderfully educated in the ways of McDreamy, you could try Once Upon a Time, Hart of Dixie, White Collar, and I've heard some really awesome things about Sherlock.

And when asked about food, my answer will always be either hot chocolate, watermelon, or mint chocolate chip cookies. So I'd go with all three.

:-) Congratulations on spotting that finish line!

  3. YES!! You are amazing! I'm proud of you! And that's great you are almost done. Okay I completely recommend the book: Carry On, Warrior. I can't put it down. I just re-read and re-read it. It's changing my life. Also, watch The Office on Netflix :)

    1. Thanks! I'll add that one to the list. Any book that makes someone re-read multiple times must be good. I love The Office but I haven't kept up with it since 2007 or something ridiculous like that. I hope to catch up someday.

  4. I recommend cupcakes for any kind of celebration. Cute and tasty. Congratulations on finishing Grad School soon! That's quite the accomplishment!

    1. Thanks!! You sound like my sister - she loves cupcakes more than almost anything. I'm more of a thick muffin/cupcake with VERY light frosting kind of girl. In fact, as I sit here, there is a box of Crave cupcakes on the counter staring at us. :)

  5. I watch TV. Lots and lots of TV. If you haven't gotten yourself hooked on Downton Abbey, now is an excellent time.

    Congrats on finishing grad school!

    1. Thanks! Oh, Downton. I am definitely hooked on it. I'm still in mourning from the end of last season. I love it so, so much. :)
